The
creation of the ICT Practice has been a natural development, as working in
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has become generally accepted as a
profession. The
ICT Practice follows the
creation of the national IT association UKITA in 2006, which brought
together many smaller local and regional associations. UKITA acts as our controlling body to set and maintain standards in this
new profession, mirroring those of other older more well established
professions.
The
ICT Practice in Birmingham is the first General Practice to be set up without manufacturer influence,
providing unbiased advice to clients from a broad spectrum of ICT
professionals. As a prerequisite, all partners within the practice carry
UKITA accreditation, engendering confidence into clients against what many
see as a confusing, highly technical and a continually changing ICT environment.
Our
aim is to actively promote the widest possible range of ICT skills and
services to small and medium sized businesses. To create an environment of
partnership and cooperation between ICT professionals and bring the
benefits to clients in the shape of efficient, cost effective ICT
solutions.
